Due to the increasing demand and prices for polyacetal (POM) materials worldwide, the Plastmass Group has developed a new material called INKUPET™. The aim of the new material is to offer a material similar to POM that is available in the long term at a good price-performance ratio. INKUPET™ is, as the name suggests, a compound plastic based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which in terms of technical properties is very similar to polyacteal. With its high mechanical strength and high wear resistance, our innovative material is ideal for machine components. The material withstands high mechanical loads and has good sliding properties. At the same time, the INKUPET™ as a POM substitute is very elastic and therefore offers a very high breaking strength. Like polyacetal, the new material can be processed very well and enables the construction of complex machine components. The standard color of the material is black and can be produced in the form of sheets, tubes and rods. All semi-finished products can also be produced in different RAL colors.
Our INKUPET™ plastic is suitable for applications in a temperature range from -60 °C to 110 ° C.
Properties at a glance

Excellent wear resistance
High fatigue limit
High weather resistance
Very resistant to aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, transformer oil and grease
Resistant to almost all oils and coolants
Some polyatomic alcohols, esters, and halogen-substituted hydrocarbons cause slight swelling
Absorbs almost no water (max. 0.3%)
Absorbed water does not act as a plasticizer
