PPS better than PTFE?

PLASTMASS™ PPS offers technical properties over conventional PTFE materials that make it more suitable for sliding parts for machinery. PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) retains its strong mechanical properties up to 250 °C, making it suitable for high heat applications. Even under high pressure, PPS is very creep resistant and does not deform. Since our PPS plastic has very low wear under friction and a high PV value in dry running, it is very suitable for sliding parts in plants and machines. In addition, our PPS has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, which makes the material easier to machine and more suitable for precision components. Especially under pressure and at temperatures up to 200 °C, our PPS has better mechanical properties than conventional PTFE.
