INKUPET - Operating Temperature
Our INKUPET (polyethylene terephthalate) is suitable for use in the temperature range from -60 to 110°C.
Properties and scope of INKUPET
INKUPET PET is a thermoplastic material based on polyethylene terephthalate (PET, PETF).
General chemical resistance:
-
In general, INKUPET PET is very resistant to aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, insulating oil and grease.
-
It is not exposed to dilute acids, solutions of basic salts, saturated hydrocarbons.
-
Some polyatomic alcohols, esters and halogenated hydrocarbons cause slight swelling. The resulting plasticization does not lead to destruction.
-
INKUPET PET stands to almost all oils and coolant.
-
Mineral acids causes an oxidizing effect on INKUPET PET. INKUPET PET is soluble in concentrated alkaline solutions, phenols, cresols and other chemicals.
-
Room temperature water does not have any chemical or physical effects on INKUPET PET. INKUPET PET material almost does not absorb water (max. 0.3%), the absorbed water does not act as a plasticizer.
-
INKUPET PET is not resistant to prolonged exposure of hot steam, as it is susceptible to hydrolysis and gradually collapses.
